This one-of-a-kind display globe was entirely made by hand, from pinning the butterfly to assembling each natural element within the dome. The butterfly, Doleschallia bisaltide, was carefully preserved and pinned by me, then arranged among real dried florals and a preserved mushroom, creating a quiet, natural vignette suspended in glass.
The composition balances structure and organic movement — warm, earthy tones from the butterfly and botanicals contrasted by the clarity of the glass globe and the simplicity of the wooden base. Each element was selected and placed with intention, allowing the specimen to remain the focal point while still feeling part of a larger, natural scene.
No two pieces I make are ever exactly the same. This globe is a singular work meant to be displayed as an art object — suitable for shelves, cabinets, desks, or within a curated collection of natural history–inspired decor.
